Privacy
What stays where.
MellowCAD has no accounts and no servers that see your drawings. This is everything it keeps, everything it measures, and who handles it.
In your browser
- Your drawing, autosaved in the browser's local storage as you work. It never leaves the device.
- Nothing else, and no cookies. The live sketch on the home page keeps its drawing in the page's memory and forgets it when you leave.
Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes the autosave. Press Ctrl+S in the editor to keep a file.
What is measured
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views: the page, the page you came from, your country and city, and your browser, system and type of device. It sets no cookies; a visit is recognised by a hash of the request, discarded after 24 hours, and the statistics are anonymous.
- Vercel Speed Insights reports how fast pages load and respond, with the page, your browser, system, type of device, network speed and country — anonymously too.
- Neither sees your drawings, and neither is used for advertising, profiling or any automated decision.
Who handles it, and why
- MellowCAD is an independent project by Oscar Velilla Abril, who is responsible for this data and answers at o.velillaa@gmail.com.
- Serving the site and measuring its use and speed rest on a legitimate interest in running a free service well, kept to anonymous statistics (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Vercel Inc. hosts the site and runs both measurements. Like any host, it processes your IP address to deliver the pages. It is based in the United States and certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- If you write, your message is handled by Google, the email provider, and used only to answer you, for as long as the conversation needs.
Your rights
- You can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it: write to the address above.
- You can also complain to a data protection authority — in the EU, the one where you live or work.
